To me, there’s always been something so magical about papercraft. Honeycomb projects, in particular, feel especially enchanting. Watching a flat piece of paper transform into a dimensional, familiar shape is so satisfying — and these Honeycomb Mushrooms are no exception. In our video tutorial, we guide you through folding, trimming, and gluing your paper to achieve that signature honeycomb effect. You’ll also learn how to shape the mushroom stems so they balance the rounded tops, giving each one its charming woodland look.
We kept the color palette for our Honeycomb Mushrooms simple to highlight the stunning shades of autumn. Coffee brown, goldenrod, and a deep, rich blue create the perfect mix of playful and elegant. Simple yet striking, they serve as a reminder that handmade is always in season. When finished, arrange a cluster on a bookshelf, tuck them into your fall centerpiece, or add them as a unique feature in your autumnal tablescape. Looking for more fungi fun? Why not give this Magical Mushroom Fairy Garden a try?
