Before you begin your Crepe Paper Persian Lily, gather your tools and materials ahead of time and set aside a little space to dive into this project. Weāll be exploring advanced techniques that highlight the beauty of the Persian lilyās elegant form, so youāll walk away with not only a gorgeous finished flower but also new skills to carry into your future paper floral projects.
We love the Persian lily for this month's Member Make for the way it embodies the idea of balance. Its tall, graceful stem contrasts beautifully with its intricate clusters of blooms, creating a flower that feels both bold and delicate at the same time. Above all, as you craft your own version, we hope youāll find that same harmony ā balancing careful precision with creativity.
Like all of our Member Makes, this workshop is about more than just the project. Chiefly, itās about connecting, learning, and creating side by side with fellow makers from all over the world. During the live event, youāll have the chance to ask questions, share your progress, and craft right along with us in real time. And if you canāt make it live, donāt worry ā the full replay will be available afterward so you can join in whenever it works best for you.
We canāt wait to see you rise to the challenge and create this Crepe Paper Persian Lily for yourself. So remember to share your amazing work with us on social media using #MemberMake and post it in our craftersā community to inspire and cheer on your fellow makers.

Yes, you are a Craft Circle member. Can you confirm that you are signed into the site? You can find that at the top of the page. If you are still having trouble, email hello@liagriffith.com and Emily will help you access everything here on our site.
If I decide to make a fuller stem, adding quite a few more flowers, what happens to the width of the stem? Since Meagan mentioned that the stem was the correct size with just the flowers that she put on, how should I deal with the extra flower stems added on the back? It seems the stem will be way too thick. Sorry for all the comments but this one is a bit complicated.
I think that if you added another half of the stems (not doubling the amount), the center stem would not become too thick.
I’m wondering why the tiny circle disk inside the flower is made from purple card stock and not a burgundy color to go with the flower petal color. I’m assuming that perhaps the live flower has this different colouring?
Ours do match the paper. Maybe the colors vary, but yes. . . pick something that has the same coloring. š
Thank you for having all the SVG files for this on 10 inch paper, and not 12.
Ooooh. I thought we always made them fit 10 inch tall crepe. If you find some that are 12, ping us and we will fix them! Thanks for pointing that out. š
I enjoyed the workshop! Did I hear you mention we should double the flowers if we want it to be viewed from all sides? I’m wondering if it would be enough to make just 50% more?
I think 50% would definitely be enough since the sides are already full.
Perhaps I’m not counting incorrectly or I’m missing something, but I believe there should be 102 petals in total (96 for 16 flowers and 6 for 3 buds). I keep counting and counting and the petals on the SVG go up to 96 when there should be 102. Am I wrong?
You are correct, we will update the svg ASAP.
Instead of making a multitude of stamen pieces for each flower, would it not have been better to make it a lot longer and just cut it in 5 little stamen pieces per flower? It just seems like a lot of work when it could be shortened.
You and I were thinking the same thing! Yes, brilliant idea. š
There appears to be a “Chrissy Manns Vimeo” film on here. Never seen this happen before and it doesn’t seem to be related in any way to flower-making!
Haha, whoops. Fixing now.
What happened to the replay of the live video because what is posted is definitely not it.
Sorry for the mistake! Updating now.
Ty Iām watching the replay now and I finished the paper plant master course and loved it
Love hearing that!!
I think you posted the wrong video…
We will get that fixed!
Oh silly me, I’m a day ahead of myself!
Oh whew! See you tomorrow!
I can’t seem to join the Members Make live1
Did we list it as Thursday, again? It is tomorrow, Friday.
Excited to make this flower. I have never seen before!
This will be a fun one! See you there.
Material list states Green Tea & Cypress, however the template lists Ferns & Moss. Which was used?
It is Ferns & Moss, we will update that materials list!
Happy Labor Day!
Just had a look at the new collection for September and I’m looking forward to this Lily. The SVG loads into design space just fine and is sized 22″ x 12″. The Designer notes instruct resizing to 5″ x 5″. Am I missing something?
Oops! Our mistake, the 22×12 is correct and we have corrected the designer notes. š
Thanks!
