Honeycomb Holiday
This next project is the perfect merry marriage of two things we love here at Lia Griffith — honeycomb papercraft and wreaths! This Cardstock Honeycomb Ball Wreath is a fun and festive way to jazz up your holiday décor, and it couldn't be simpler to make. With minimal tools and materials, this project is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon crafting with kiddos and friends. And because the honeycomb technique is so playful and interactive, it’s one of those crafts that brings out the kid-at-heart in everyone!

If you're familiar with our other honeycomb crafts, then this project will be a breeze. For the sake of precision, we highly recommend using a cutting machine; however, scissors will also do just fine. As for assembly, once you've made your honeycomb balls — affix them to a macrame hoop with a few dabs of craft glue, and voila! A beautiful and simple holiday Cardstock Honeycomb Ball Wreath to lift your spirits and elevate your space.
One of the absolute best things about this project is how customizable it is. Though the design is simple, it leaves a lot of room for some bold artistic choices and we hope you make every single one. For our Honeycomb Ball Wreath we chose to keep things merry and bright with a vibrant color palette of greens, pinks, and yellow. However, this project lends itself to nearly every color combo and aestethic — so don’t be afraid to dream big! Try soft pastels for a whimsical winter look, jewel tones for something dramatic, or metallics for a bit of holiday glam.
Once your Honeycomb Ball Wreath is complete, we really can’t wait to see how you bring this project to life! So don't forget to post your pictures to social media using the hashtag #MadeWithLia or upload into our crafters’ community!

@Nalini
Back to the TopHI, cancel my previous question. Now my question is: how big are the printed sheets supposed to be? If I print your print file onto letter size paper, those two shapes will be very large and I highly doubt I could cut 18 from one 12x12in sheet of cardstock. Is it supposed to be printed in A5 (that’s Australian for approximately 1/2 of letterhead size). Please note that standard printing sheet size varies from country to country. Australia’s letter size is A4, which from memory is approx 22.5cm x 30cm, or approx 9 x 12 in.
Hi Nalini, when printing simply select “Actual size” this will make sure that no matter what size the paper is you are printing on the template will be printed at the intended size to make this wreath. If you are cutting by hand you may need more paper, we have set up the shapes to sit very close together and in a specific way when cutting on a machine to fit on two sheets of 12×12 paper. I would suggest tracing the shapes onto the paper to fit the most you can.
