Frosted Paper Honeycomb Pumpkins
Score some cute pumpkins
These paper honeycomb pumpkins are a member request! Similar to our frosted paper apples and pears, which are also suitable for fall, these paper pumpkins are an easy craft project made from our beautiful frosted craft paper.
As with all of our honeycomb crafts, we recommend using a cutting machine for more precise cutting and scoring. But you can also cut and score these by hand using our printable template.

The one thing about real pumpkins is that you can only keep them for so long before they need to be tossed or composted. So we love making our own out of paper or felt. This way, they can stay out as long as you want and be re-used next year.
You can style these frosted paper honeycomb pumpkins on your mantel or use them for a festive fall dinner with our other frosted paper pumpkins. All you need are a few simple craft tools and some frosted text weight paper along with a sheet of green cardstock to get started. Plus we have a photo tutorial included in the download that you can follow!
These charming decorations add a touch of autumn elegance without the mess of real pumpkins. The honeycomb construction creates beautiful dimension and texture that catches the light perfectly. They're ideal for crafters of all skill levels and make wonderful seasonal décor.
The frosted paper gives these pumpkins a sophisticated, modern look that works beautifully with both traditional and contemporary décor styles. Mix and match different sizes to create visual interest, or keep them uniform for a more minimalist aesthetic. Group them together as a centerpiece, scatter them along a table runner, or tuck them into bookshelves and side tables throughout your home.
Best of all, these pumpkins are lightweight and easy to store, so you can enjoy them year after year without taking up valuable storage space in your home.

Back to the TopHi Lia,
I am trying to make the frosted honeycomb pumpkin on my Maker. In the layers panel it shows the fold lines on the pumpkin. When I go to cut it there are no fold lines and it does not call for the scoring tool. I tried detaching and attaching but no luck. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong, please.
Thanks!
Dorothy
Hi Dorothy. You will need to select these lines and set them to score. Unfortunately, this is a step we can not set for you but must be done manually. You can see all of the steps in these two videos: https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/how-to-use-files-cricut/ and https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/cutting-frosted-paper-with-cricut/
Just a piece of feedback – for the honeycomb apples & pears, 12 pieces needed to be cut folded and glued. The PDF for the pumpkins show to cut 9 pieces. I am trying to assemble the pumpkins and there is not enough stretch with the 9 pieces. I am going to cut out 3 more pieces for each shape. They should then go together more easily.
The SVG has 12 pieces for 2 of the pumpkins but only 9 pieces for the 3rd pumpkin.
Yes, you are correct it is 12. That is my mistake on the PDF and I will fix it now.
The honeycomb pumpkins are adorable!! Perfect for both Halloween and Thanksgiving. Thank you!!
Thank you! Glad you like them!
Hi Lia. The PDF file looks just like the SVG. Since I don’t have a cutting machine I need the PDF. There are only a few small pumpkins and a partial pumpkin and no pears. Just wondering if I’m looking at this wrong. The video looks like the pumpkins are larger.
Thanks for making my days happier.
Hi Linda! Thanks for telling us. Our mistake but it is FIXED and ready for you!! 😉 Also the pears are part of another project — we just shared the video tutorial for them here since the construction is the same.
