We're Over the Moon for This DIY
These sun and moon headbands aren't the only creative part of this DIY outfit for Halloween. There are so many ways for you to be original or artistic with this Halloween costume idea! For the moon outfit, you could wear a black or silver top, stick some silver stars on your face (or maybe draw them on), and add some glitter. You could also use shimmery makeup. For the sun outfit, we found this gold and white sequined shirt at a local thrift shop. We suggest browsing thrift shops near you or looking on Amazon for metallic shirts.
While we think this is a fun Halloween costume idea for two people, you could always just pick one of these to be, too. Whatever you decide, we'd love to see it! Make sure to share your DIY Halloween costumes with us on Instagram using the hashtag #MadeWithLia.

@Sally
Back to the TopI want the moon and star head band
There is an option to purchase the design in the right-hand column.
What are the sizes to cut? When I open in design space it comes out over 18 inches long? Thanks
Sometimes Cricut will resize files. Frustrating. The sun from side to side is 10 inches wide. Hope that helps.
I’m confused about some of the cuts. What is the half-circle black paper for? Why does the picture show lots of stars on the moon headband, but only four get cut? Why are there stars in the group that have a black edge and stars that don’t?
Hi Sally,
The black circle is a “Score Line”for down the center of the moon. In Design Space you must set that line to score, then select the moon and the line and attach them before cutting. For the stars we have provided one of each size, you can duplicate and cut as many of each size as you like! In Design Space they place a black outline around each object, it does not effect how the object is cut. If you need any help with how to navigate design space and how to use our SVG files we have a great video that gives lots of great tips! 🙂 https://liagriffith.com/how-to-use-svg-files-for-cricut/
