VIDEO: Needle Felted Panda

To get started on your needle-felted panda, check out our tools and materials list below. Starting with a 4cm wool felt ball, you can simply wrap the roving wool around and felt into place to create the egg shape of your panda body. Once the body is formed, you can sculpt it with the felting technique to add the nose and tail. With the cut shapes from black wool-blend felt it will be simple to add all of the black details to the white panda, finishing it with our special needle felting eyes and a handmade sprig of felt bamboo.

We have been eager to update and expand our collection of needle-felted cuties using the New Zealand Corriedale wool that is now in our shop. Once you have collected the tools and materials listed here, you can print the bird template below that will give you not only the pattern for the felt base for the wings and tail but a size chart for the base and head of the bird.

An Ear-resistible Bunny!
There is something so satisfying about crafting with natural, raw materials. I am finding this to be true in my pottery classes and again with roving wool as I am reigniting my love for needle felting. As we begin to stock our shop with all of the materials we love for this fiber craft, you will notice our collection of needle-felted projects update and grow — starting with this little felted bunny.

Along with the bunny we have also included the pattern to make some felted carrots and radishes. Below you will find the supplies we used along with the template to help you understand the size of these needle-felted projects.
