Floral Embroidered Felt Bat Ornaments
Batty Crafting
Who says bats have to be spooky? With these Floral Embroidered Felt Bat Ornaments, I'd say they're due for a rebrand as fallβs most adorable creature. Furthermore, who couldnβt use a cozy cottagecore craft to balance out the thrills and chills of the season? These beginner-friendly, floral embroidered bats are flying your way just in time to add something sweetly spooktacular to your fall and Halloween dΓ©cor.

These Floral Embroidered Felt Bat Ornaments are a wonderful project if youβre brand new to embroidery. As you craft, youβll practice classic stitches like the detached chain stitch for petals, backstitch for stems, the French knot for your batβs eyes, and whip stitch to bring it all together. Once you have these simple stitches in hand, youβll feel ready to take on even more embroidery projects.
One of my favorite products to use for a craft like this is Sulky Sticky Fabri-Solvy. If youβre worried about keeping everything nice and neat, this is a lifesaver. Simply print your pattern onto the stabilizer, stick it to your felt, and stitch right through it. When youβre finished, gently rinse it away with water. Youβll have a crisp floral design that transforms these nocturnal cuties from creepy to whimsical.
We designed our Floral Embroidered Felt Bats to use as ornaments, but thatβs just one of many ways to enjoy them. String them into a fun Halloween garland, or tuck them into boo bags as a festive surprise. To keep things simple, we used black felt for our bat silhouettes and embroidery floss in autumnal shades of purple, copper, and gold. Of course, we encourage you to let your creativity guide the way as you make this project your own.
When youβre all finished, donβt forget to share your Floral Embroidered Felt Bats with us using the hashtag #MadeWithLia or in our craftersβ community.
Stitches used: Detached chain stitch, backstitch, French knot, whip stitch

When I click on the download link, it brings me to a picture of what is included in the download instead of actually downloading it… I am a member and was able to download the other files for this month! Just not these adorable little bats! Thanks in advance for your help!
