I can see how the hot glue might fall off the dried-out twigs. I have not seen any of ours dry out and fall apart, but we do not live in a dry climate. Maybe using more of a wiring technique, along with the glue, would help to keep them in place?

The mini mistletoe wreaths are so cute. I wanted to know if you made a project 2 or more years ago, using hot glue, whether the project is still together. I used hot glue to make pine cone wreaths and they were beautiful until they seemed to “dry out” and the glue let go. This left some pine cones on the floor. Using white glue with pine cones doesn’t work as well. Thanks for any input.
