This beautiful project has been a member favorite for the last year, so we have decided to make these in a LIVE video craft-along which is open for all to join and ask questions along the way. For a fun "Halloween Lite" craft, I designed them to look like a poisonous Death Cap mushroom, which promises to cause mayhem if eaten. I added a couple of paper moths to give these pretty but haunting paper mushrooms an added Halloween vibe. Otherwise, you could easily keep this project out all year long.

We're Nutty for this Craft Project
Acorns are a great way to bring a bit of autumn into your home. Back in 2014, I was experimenting with metallic crepe paper and created some acorns to use as fall decorations. So I thought it was time to create a new design for this classic fall project — as well as a video tutorial to guide you as you craft your own crepe paper acorns.

Not only is this a new design, but since 2014 I have made more of an effort to use more sustainable craft materials. Instead of foam balls, you will see in my video that I use cotton spun balls for these crepe paper acorns. To get started, just gather the tools and materials below. We bring you these crepe paper kumquat branches for our last project of the year. These beautiful fruits are in season from November–April, depending on the variety. So now is the perfect time to craft these kumquats out of paper and enjoy their vibrant color in your home for several months.

However, they're more than just a pretty fruit! The kumquat is a symbol of good luck and prosperity in Asian countries. They are also used as houseplants and are often given as gifts during the Lunar New Year.
