We love a simple handmade craft. Sure, completing a project with all the bells and whistles can be satisfying — but there's a lot of joy to be found in getting back to basics. Our free Craft Camps celebrate the simple pleasure of turning whatever you have on hand into fun and functional art. For this month's camp we're making Cotton Cord Woven Coasters on a miniature cardboard loom. Looking for more fun and easy crafts? Check out this Dinosaur Diorama or these Tissue Paper Pom-Poms.

As always, we encourage you to use whatever craft you supplies you have on hand to complete this project. However, I'll caution that this particular technique is much easier with yarn than with macrame cord. If you need a little guidance, I've listed all the tools and materials I used below.

I love to craft projects that mix natural wood with natural fiber paper. The ginkgo is one of my favorites, and I have thought it might be time to create a statement piece featuring this distinct leaf. On our site, you can find a ginkgo branch made from cardstock paper and a framed 3D art piece made from gold frosted paper. But this will be our first crepe paper ginkgo branch.
